Job summary

Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is recruiting HGV Class 1 C+E drivers based in Newton Abbot. Flexible shifts, regular work, and potential for permanent roles with the right employer across South Devon and surroundings.

Location: Newton Abbot area with easy access from Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay and nearby towns. Weekly pay and a variety of shift patterns, including 5am starts on Fridays through Tuesday, with Wednesdays/Thursdays off.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence and CPC card required.
• Digital Tachograph card and right-to-work documentation essential.
• Newly qualified drivers considered for opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 C+E vehicle safely and professionally.
• Deliver and collect caged goods across the South West and South Wales.
• Complete delivery paperwork and transport documentation accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Follow transport legislation, health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service when representing clients.
• Workday shifts with typical start times from 05:00.

HGV Class 1 Driver opportunities are available for experienced and newly qualified drivers looking for flexible work across South Devon and the surrounding areas. The shifts are Friday to Tuesday 5am starts. Every Wednesday and Thursday off.

Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is recruiting HGV Class 1 C+E Drivers based in Newton Abbot. This role offers flexibility, regular shifts, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position with the right employer.

Location

Easily commutable from Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay, Paignton, Totnes, South Brent, Kingsbridge and Salcombe.

Other PAYE models are available.

Weekly pay

Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 C+E vehicle safely and professionally

• Good geographical knowledge of the South West and South Wales
• Flexible approach to available shifts
