Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is recruiting HGV Class 1 C+E Drivers based in Newton Abbot. This role offers flexibility, regular shifts, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position with the right employer.

Shifts are Friday to Tuesday with 5am starts; every Wednesday and Thursday off. The job is based in Newton Abbot, Devon, with easy access from Exeter, Plymouth and nearby towns.

Qualifications

• Essential: HGV Class 1 C+E licence, Driver CPC, Tachograph card, up to 6 penalty points, no DR/DD/IN endorsements, reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 C+E vehicle safely and professionally
• Deliver and collect caged goods across the South West and South Wales
• Complete delivery paperwork and transport documentation accurately
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Follow all transport legislation, health and safety procedures, and company policies
• Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle
• Provide excellent customer service when representing our clients
• Workday shifts with typical start times from 05:00

Salary

£13.69 – £20.54 per hour PAYE Advance Other PAYE models are available. Weekly pay Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
