Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers for flexible work across South Devon. Shifts run Friday to Tuesday starting around 05:00, with Wednesdays and Thursdays off and weekly pay.

We welcome experienced and newly qualified drivers, offering set shifts and a route across multiple clients. Based in Newton Abbot, the role supports driving across the South West and South Wales with accreditations and a strong safety record.

Qualificações

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 C+E licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• No DR, DD or IN endorsements.
• Reliable, professional and punctual approach.

Responsabilidades

• Drive a Class 1 C+E vehicle safely and professionally.
• Deliver and collect caged goods across the South West and South Wales.
• Complete delivery paperwork and transport documentation accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Follow all transport legislation, health and safety procedures, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service when representing our clients.
• Workday shifts with typical start times from 05:00.

HGV Class 1 Driver opportunities are available for experienced and newly qualified drivers looking for flexible work across South Devon and the surrounding areas. The shifts are Friday to Tuesday 5am starts. Every Wednesday and Thursday off.

Location

Newton Abbot, Devon

Easily commutable from Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay, Paignton, Totnes, South Brent, Kingsbridge and Salcombe.

Salary

£13.69 - £20.54 per hour PAYE Advance

Other PAYE models are available.

Key Responsibilities
