GRS is seeking a self-motivated HGV Class 1 Driver to join our Langley team. You will drive LGV/HGV vehicles, deliver goods to customers, and maintain vehicles safely and efficiently, while adhering to health and safety standards.

Formación

HGV Class 1 Licence required with some experience.
Drivers CPC card is mandatory.
Valid tachograph card required for compliance.

Responsabilidades

Drive LGV/HGV vehicles to deliver goods to customers safely and efficiently.
Check vehicle safety and report faults at start of each day.
Load and secure cargo within legal weight limits and manufacturer guidelines.
Maintain hygiene and upkeep of company assets and equipment.
Represent the company professionally on the road and at customer sites.

JOB PURPOSE

To drive LGV/HGV vehicles and deliver goods and services as required. To drive company delivery vehicles and deliver its goods to customers efficiently and considerately whilst ensuring the health and safety of self, the public and other road users. To ensure the good maintenance and operation of the company's assets and to provide excellent service to customers.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To check the safety and condition of the vehicle at the start of each day and to record its condition using the system provided and to promptly report any faults as they occur.
To care for the company's assets whilst in his/her charge and ensure they are used according to manufacturer's recommendations ensuring effective long-term performance.
To ensure the vehicle is securely loaded and restrained and that the vehicle weights are within the legally permitted limits.
To drive as efficiently and productively as possible but to do so within the prevailing road traffic law.
To give due consideration to the health and safety of self, the public and other road users at all times.
To represent the company both on the road and at the customers' premises in a professional and considerate manner at all times and to report promptly any matters likely to affect the company's business prospects.
To assist in yard and other duties as may be required when not driving or taking legally required breaks.
To complete reports and documentations to time and as accurately as possible to assist in the management of the business.
To contribute to the wellbeing and profitability of the business as far as it depends upon him/her.
Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant work place.
