Job summary

Synergyx Freight in the Liverpool area is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 tramping drivers for long-haul UK routes. Roles involve bay-to-bay deliveries, nights away, and a modern, well-maintained fleet. You will plan journeys, observe rest breaks and driving hours, and perform daily vehicle checks.

Candidates must hold a full UK C+E license, meet right-to-work requirements, and pass pre-employment screening. We offer a driver-first environment with competitive pay and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 (C+E) license required.
• Clean license preferred: up to 6 points accepted; no TT/DR/IN endorsements.
• Fluency in English preferred.
• Right to work in the UK required.
• Must pass pre-employment screening (drug and alcohol test, background check).
• Live within commuting distance of Liverpool; some on-site presence.

Responsibilities

• Long-haul driving across the UK with nights away in vehicle.
• Bay-to-bay deliveries; drop-and-go with no manual handling.
• Plan journeys and maintain navigation awareness.
• Follow rest break and driving hour rules; perform daily vehicle checks.
• Utilise SNAP/fuel cards; maintain a reliable, safe fleet.
• Five consecutive tramping shifts Sun-Fri; occasional on-site presence.

Job description

• Long-haul driving: You will be delivering freight across the UK, often spending nights away in your vehicle.
• Bay-to-bay delivery only, with no manual handling: All deliveries are drop-and-go (bay-to-bay), meaning you won't be lifting goods.
• Drive a modern, well-maintained modern fleet, you should also be confident in basic navigation and journey planning.
• Follow all road safety rules and company policies, including rest breaks and driving hours.
• Carry out daily checks and report any issues - we pride ourselves on running a reliable, safe fleet.
• Use of SNAP accounts and fuel cards for ease on the road.
• Consistent work with 5 consecutive tramping shifts Sun-Fri.

• Full UK C+E License (Class 1): You must hold a valid Class 1 license to operate articulated vehicles.
• We welcome both experienced and newly qualified HGV drivers.
• Clean license preferred: We accept up to 6 points, but no serious endorsements such as TT (disqualification), DR (drink driving), or IN (insurance offences).
• Fluency in English Language (preferred)
• UK road law knowledge: Understanding the Highway Code, rest break rules, and HGV-specific regulations.
• Right to work in the UK: You must have valid documents confirming your eligibility.
• Safety first - all drivers must pass pre-employment screening (drug and alcohol test, background check).
