Job summary

Synergyx Freight is hiring experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for long-haul trunk runs across the UK, with overnight stays, bay-to-bay deliveries, and a driver-first approach. You will navigate efficiently, perform daily checks, and adhere to rest-break rules and regulations.

The role welcomes both experienced and newly qualified drivers, with on-site presence required occasionally. Applicants should have a valid Class 1 license and be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) license.
• Live within commuting distance of Liverpool.
• Fluent English preferred.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Clean license preferred (up to 6 points, no TT/DR/IN).
• Willingness to overnight tramp and follow rest break rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform long-haul trunk runs across the UK with nights away in vehicle.
• Bay-to-bay deliveries with no manual handling; drop-and-go.
• Plan journeys and maintain basic navigation.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report issues.
• Follow safety rules and company policies, including driving hours and rest breaks.
• SNAP accounts and fuel cards used to streamline trips.

Job description

Long-haul driving: You will be delivering freight across the UK, often spending nights away in your vehicle.

Bay-to-bay delivery only, with no manual handling: All deliveries are drop-and-go (bay-to-bay), meaning you won't be lifting goods.

Drive a modern, well-maintained modern fleet, you should also be confident in basic navigation and journey planning.

Follow all road safety rules and company policies, including rest breaks and driving hours.

Carry out daily checks and report any issues - we pride ourselves on running a reliable, safe fleet.

Use of SNAP accounts and fuel cards for ease on the road

Consistent work with 5 consecutive tramping shifts Sun-Fri.

Full UK C+E License (Class 1): You must hold a valid Class 1 license to operate articulated vehicles.

We welcome both experienced and newly qualified HGV drivers.

Clean license preferred: We accept up to 6 points, but no serious endorsements such as TT (disqualification), DR (drink driving), or IN (insurance offences).

Fluency in English Language (preferred)

UK road law knowledge: Understanding the Highway Code, rest break rules, and HGV-specific regulations.

Right to work in the UK: You must have valid documents confirming your eligibility.

Safety first - all drivers must pass pre-employment screening (drug and alcohol test, background check).
