Job summary

Pertemps Southampton are hiring an Evening HGV Class 1 Shunter for a permanent role in Totton. You will move trailers around the yard, reverse into the warehouse, and assist with loading and strapping loads at night. Forklift counterbalance work is included, with training available.

Salary is £40,000 per annum PAYE, with a 16:00 to 01:00 shift pattern and five shifts per week. Candidate must hold a UK driving licence, HGV Class 1 qualification (6 months experience preferred), CPC/Digi Tacho,

Qualifications

• Valid UK Driving Licence (Max. 6pts).
• HGV Class 1 experience preferred (6 months desired).
• Forklift Counterbalance training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Manoeuvre trailers around the yard.
• Reverse trailers into the warehouse at end of night.
• Assist with loading trailers and strapping loads.
• Operate forklift counterbalance to load vehicles where required.

Job description

Pertemps Southampton are looking for a Evening HGV Class 1 Shunter to starta permanentcontract with our Client in Totton ASAP!

You will be responsible for manoeuvring trailers around the yard and reversing into the warehouse at the end of the night as well as helping load trailers and strapping loads.

Drivers will also be using a Forklift Counterbalance to load vehicles. Training for counterbalance can be provided.

£40,000 p.a.PAYE

16:00pm - 01:00am

5 shifts per Sun/Mo/Tues/Wed/Thurs

Role requires Candidates to have a base line of physical fitness due to the manual handling when not driving.

All Candidates must have:

• Valid UK Driving Licence (Max. 6pts)
• Valid HGV Class 1 Qualification (6 months experience desired)
• Forklift Counterbalance (desired, but training can be provided)
• Valid CPC/Digi Tacho
• Safety Boots & High Vis
