Culina is seeking permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join our transport logistics team at the Daventry distribution centre. You will perform general haulage duties with curtainside trailers, servicing distribution centres and stores with a focus on safe driving and reliable deliveries.

Roles include day, night, and weekend shifts with on-site health and safety compliance, vehicle checks and timely documentation.

Qualificações

• Hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers).
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tachograph cards.
• Understand and able to comply with Driver's hours and WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.

We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Transport Logistics division- as one of the UK's most trusted transport specialists, we deliver flexible transport solutions backed by our nationwide network, industry-leading expertise and innovative technology. We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us working from Tesco Dirft Central Distribution Centre in Daventry on our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

Location & Contract

• Permanent HGV Class 1 driver.
• Location: Tesco Dirft Central Distribution Centre in Daventry, Daventry, UK.
• Full time, permanent basis.
• Days (Between 00:00-02:00 starts) available working any 5 days from 7.
• Nights (between 16:00 - 19:00 starts) available working any 5 days from 7.
• Weekend work may be required depending on demand.

Requirements

• Hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers).

• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.
• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.

Pay Rates

• Mon-Fri Days - £15.15 per hour
• Mon-Fri Night Shift - £16.35 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday Day Shift - £18.15 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday Night Shift - £18.65 per hour
• Bank Holidays - £18.96 per hour.

Additional Allowances

• £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance.
• £25 per night out tax-free allowance (if applicable).

Driver Responsibilities

• General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores.
• Collections from Stores to load out to Factories and Distribution Centres.
• Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages.
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation.
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism.
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.
