Job summary

Menzies Distribution Solutions is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver (Tramping) based in Devizes. You will deliver and collect goods for our customers, adhere to road and safety regulations, and maintain professional standards while representing the company.

The role requires a current license for C1/C/C+E as applicable, Digi-Tacho and Driver CPC cards, and the ability to work the listed shift pattern (Mon-Fri with nights out). A strong focus on safety, planning and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 25+ with at least 2 years driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on license and no DD/DR endorsements.
• Valid license categories C1 (7.5t), C (up to 32t), C+E for articulated.
• GB/Non-GB license evidence if living in GB.
• DVLA Form D9 for registration available.
• Capable of passing company driving assessment.
• Experience loading/unloading and delivering to customer premises.
• UK geographical knowledge helpful.
• Understand Drivers Hours & WTD regulations.
• Current digi-tacho card and ability to pass company medical.

Responsibilities

• General driving duties and delivering/collecting to customer premises and other Menzies locations.
• Wear company uniform and PPE; maintain professional standards.
• Carry out pre-use vehicle checks and report defects or H&S issues.
• Ensure loads are safe and secured; complete load documentation.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and comply with hours/tachograph rules.
• Nights out may be required; comply with management requests.
