Job summary

Culina's Great Bear team in Worksop is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a permanent, full-time driving role in a 24/7 operation delivering to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide.

Shifts include Monday to Friday nights (start times 14:00–19:00, around 15:00). Night-out may be required; you will handle safe deliveries, paperwork, and adherence to Road Transport rules while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence.
• DCPC and Tachograph cards valid.
• Good understanding of Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
• 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no DD or DR convictions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, often backdoor tip.
• Support occasional driver tipping or multi-drop deliveries depending on customer demand.
• Occasional Night out may be required.
• Report delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies promptly to the Transport team.
• Complete paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
• Follow company rules and procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Take responsibility for the unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a high standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service.

We're looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Great Bear team at our site in Worksop, This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent, full-time driving role with a 24/7 operation, delivering goods to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide. Shift patterns available:

• Monday to Friday Nights (Start times between 14:00 - 19:00, ideal start time around 15:00)
• Our Shift patterns are working any 5 from 7 and we offer flexibility in shift patterns and start times so if you are looking for weekend work or different start times, let us know what you're looking for, we'll do our best to accommodate your preferences.

Salary: £16.91 per hour (this includes a £1.75 per hour Night Shift allowance)

What you'll be doing

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.

• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and adhere to tachograph rules and regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks in line with company procedure and report defects correctly.
• Take responsibility for the unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a high standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.

• 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred
