Culina Group, part of the Great Bear team, is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for a permanent, full-time position in Duckmanton. This 24/7 operation delivers palletised goods to regional distribution centres nationwide and operates on a 5 on/2 off night shift pattern with start times between 13:00–23:00.

You will be responsible for safe deliveries, accurate paperwork, and maintaining high customer service standards while adhering to tachograph and health & safety guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• Experienced HGV Class 1 driver for a permanent, full-time role.
• Proven ability to safely handle palletised general haulage deliveries.
• Able to follow health, safety and tachograph rules.

Aufgaben

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres; backdoor tip where applicable.
• Report delays or issues to the Transport team at shift start.
• Complete paperwork and obtain PODs signed and returned to Transport Office.
• Adhere to company procedures, health and safety standards.
• Manage working time in line with Road Transport Directive.

Salary: £16.91 per hour & Overtime paid at £22.74 per hour, weekly pay

We’re looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Great Bear team in Duckmanton, supporting deliveries for key customers.

What you’ll be doing

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, with most deliveries completed as backdoor tip.
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and communicate any delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies promptly.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company rules and procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and adhere to tachograph rules and regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks in line with company procedure and report defects correctly.
• Take responsibility for the unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a high standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
