Job summary

Interaction Recruitment in the UK is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a night trunking role in the ME15 9 area. You will perform long-haul night runs to Birmingham, operate a curtainside vehicle, and secure loads using straps.

Candidates must have a valid HGV Class 1 licence, at least 6 months of experience, curtainside and strap handling skills, be over 21 for insurance, and have no more than 6 points on their licence. Night shifts and steady work are offered.

Start Time: Between 17:30 - 19:30 until finish

About the Role

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a night trunking position based in the ME15 9 area.

This is a long-haul trunking role, completing regular runs to Birmingham and back. The successful candidate will be required to operate a curtainside vehicle and must be confident with securing loads using straps.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled night trunk runs to Birmingham and return.
• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle in line with all road transport regulations.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Load security checks, including the correct use of curtainside equipment and strapping.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Maintain a professional and reliable approach at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Experience with curtainside trailers and load strapping is essential.
• Must be over 21 for insurance purposes.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working night shifts and long-haul routes.
