Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for an ongoing trunking role based in Sittingbourne. The position involves a double decker curtain side trunking run from Sittingbourne to Birmingham and back, transporting palletised freight for Palletways.

This is primarily a trunking role with minimal manual handling. You will work nights starting at 19:00, with 8–10 hour shifts and ongoing, regular work.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsements.
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence and CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card holder.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and Working Time Directive.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out double decker curtain side trunking runs SIT to Birmingham and back.
• Ensure safe and compliant driving with palletised freight.
• Maintain vehicle safety and report issues promptly.
• Adhere to hours, tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
