Job summary

Workforce Staffing Ltd in Heysham is seeking a reliable Class 1 (C+E) night driver to deliver palletised freight on multi-drop routes. You will load, deliver and return safely and on time, representing the company professionally at every drop.

You must hold a UK Category C+E licence, have at least 1 year of Class 1 experience, a valid Driver CPC and a digital tachograph card. The role offers ongoing work with weekly pay and holidays included.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK Category C+E (Class 1) licence.
• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC card.
• Valid digital tachograph card.
• Experience in palletised deliveries / multi-drop preferred.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
• Ability to work independently on night shifts.
• Professional attitude and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver palletised goods to multiple customer sites on scheduled night routes
• Carry out daily walk-round vehicle checks and report any defects
• Load and secure freight correctly, checking pallets against delivery paperwork
• Obtain accurate proof of delivery (POD) and report any damages, shortages or delivery issues
• Complete all paperwork accurately
• Comply with drivers' hours regulations and Working Time Directive
• Keep vehicle clean, tidy and roadworthy
• Follow health and safety procedures and company policies

Night Class 1 Driver: Palletised Multi-Drop

Location: Heysham

Pay: £19.61 (holidays incl) per hour, paid weekly

About the Role

We're looking for a reliable Class 1 (C+E) driver to join our Client's night operation delivering palletised freight on multi-drop routes. You'll load, deliver and return safely and on time, representing the company professionally at every drop.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely deliver palletised goods to multiple customer sites on scheduled night routes
• Carry out daily walk-round vehicle checks and report any defects promptlyLoad and secure freight correctly, checking pallets against delivery paperwork
• Obtain accurate proof of delivery (POD) and report any damages, shortages or delivery issues
• Complete all paperwork accurately
• Comply with drivers' hours regulations, tachograph rules and the Working Time Directive
• Keep your vehicle clean, tidy and roadworthy
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies

Requirements
