Job summary

Pin Point Recruitment is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers for night and weekend shifts in Chepstow (NP16). You will perform trunking, plan routes, and ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining safety and compliance.

A valid CDL, a clean driving record, and proven experience as a truck driver are required. An induction is paid after the first week, and long shifts can mean 12 hours per day over a 3‑day pattern.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
• Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment.
• Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries.

HGV Class 1 Drivers (nights weekends)

Night Shift

£20.00 - £23.00 per hour PAYE

£22.00 - £24.00 per hour LTD

Key tasks

• Trunking

Shift times

• Shift starts between 18.00 - 22.00 for night shift
• Weekend work Friday - Monday
• These are long trunk runs average of 12 hours a day so you can complete 36 hours in 3 days.
• Drivers will need to complete an assessment and induction before starting (paid after first week of working)
• No hand ball
• Straight trunking
