HGV Class 1 Night Driver

Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Runcorn area for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers to work nights. Trunking duties to the hub and overnight distribution support are included.

Shifts run across Monday to Sunday with nights as start times. Pay rates are £17.50 or £18.25 per hour PAYE depending on time of shift.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C&E) and DCPC.
• Digital Tachograph card required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in Class 1 driving.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Be able to pass a short driving assessment.

Responsibilities

• Trunking - performing trunk runs to the hub.
• Night driving roles with nights start times.
• Operation runs across Monday to Sunday.

• £18.25 per hour PAYE (10pm to 6am).

The role

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• 6 months minimum experience required
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
