Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Class 1 driver for a temporary, ongoing position based in the UK, focusing on temperature-controlled deliveries and compliance with driver hours.

You must hold a full UK licence with C+E, at least 12 months UK articulated lorry experience, a Digital Tachograph Card, a valid Driver CPC, and a clear grasp of the Working Time Directive.

Qualifications

• A full UK Drivers Licence with a C+E entitlement.
• A minimum of 12 months continuous experience driving articulated lorries in the UK
• a Digital Tacho Card (Digicard)
• a valid Driver CPC Card
• a strong and coherent understanding of driver’s working hours and working time directive.

Responsibilities

• Completing temperature controlled deliveries
• Sealing and unsealing back doors
• Monitoring the refrigeration unit
• Reporting temperature issues to the depot
• Trunking to RDC or NDC, no multi drop
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers
• Supervising unloading / loading (no Manual Handling)
• Maintaining delivery records

The duties within this Class 1 role include

• Completing temperature controlled deliveries
• Sealing and unsealing back doors
• Monitoring the refrigeration unit
• Reporting temperature issues to the depot
• Trunking to RDC or NDC, no multi drop
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers
• Supervising unloading / loading (no Manual Handling)
• Maintaining delivery records

Duration: This is a temporary, but ongoing position

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: We have 2 options for rate of Pay.Umbrella £20.50 per hour for first 8 and £26 per hour after.PAYE £17.10 for the first 8 and £22.59 per hour after. 28 days holiday pro rata on PAYE.WE DO NOT ACCEPT MAX 20 VISAS OR SPONSORSHIPS

Working Hours: Start times are between 0700 & 1000 each day.Shift lengths are approximately 10 hours.

Experience & Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will need:

You must not have anymore than 6 points on your licence.
