Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting for a Nottingham-based role as HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E). Shifts are Monday to Friday, starting at 09:00. Pay is £16.36 per hour PAYE, with overtime at £24.54 after 40 hours. Location: Nottingham, NG6.

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
At least 6 months proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence.
Understanding of WTD legislation.
Excellent communication skills and safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

Collections and Deliveries - up to 8 stops.
Manual handling required for loading/unloading parcels at depots/customers.
Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely collections/deliveries.
Operate devices and company software to update delivery status and communicate with the depot.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle for roadworthiness and compliance.
Adhere to traffic laws, regulations and company policies for safety.
Communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
