Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Warrington area for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (C+E). The role involves 24/7 trunking duties, long shifts, and opportunities for permanent employment for the right candidate.

Shifts run across Monday to Sunday with start times from 12pm onwards. Pay options include PAYE (£156–£171 per day) or rolled up (£174–£191 per day). A flexible, customer-service focused operator is required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• 12 months driving experience preferred; 6+ months considered for assessment.
• Good communication and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Trunk trailers for major parcel companies in a 24/7 operation.
• Cover routes from the Northwest to Nuneaton, Rugby and Dundee as required.
• Maintain professionalism and high safety standards.
• Flexible start times with advance bookings.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Warrington area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Shifts: Shifts across a 24-hour operation, across Monday to Sunday

Hours: from 12pm onwards

Pay Rates (2 payment options):

• PAYE: £156 per day midweek, £171 per day on weekends.
• Rolled up: £174 per day midweek, £191 per day on weekends.

Location: Warrington, WA4.

Job Type: Ongoing

The role:

• As part of a 24/7 operation, youll be trunking trailers for major parcel companies.
• Covering routes predominantly from the Northwest to Nuneaton/Rugby and Dundee etc.
• Flexible start times with month-in-advance bookings.
• Average 11-hour shifts.
• Ongoing work with the opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate.
• Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service during interactions with customers.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• 12 months experience required however, drivers with less (no less than 6 months experience) can attend an assessment.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points on your driving licence (minor offences only).
• Ability to work independently and efficiently on long-haul runs.
• Reliable, professional, and committed to high safety standards.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
