Job summary

Culina is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join our Transport Logistics division at Tesco Dirft Central Distribution Centre in Daventry, on a general haulage operation. You will deliver to distribution centres and stores, with starts across day or night shifts.

We offer positions full-time, with shift patterns 5 days from 7, including weekend work. Pay ranges from £15.15 to £18.96 per hour plus meal and night-out allowances, plus benefits such as uniform, DCPC training, life assurance

Qualifications

• Hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tachograph cards
• Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation
• Able to carry out necessary vehicle checks and report defects

Responsibilities

• General Haulage with Curtainside trailers to Distribution Centres and Stores
• Collections from Stores to load out to Factories and Distribution Centres
• Support General work including occasional store deliveries and loading/unloading cages
• Complete all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
• Maintain high levels of safety, compliance and professionalism
• Work closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to Driver’s hours, WTD and tachograph legislation
