Job summary

Apex Resources Ltd is recruiting Class 1 drivers to join one of the UK's leading distribution groups, specialising in logistics and warehousing. You will support General Haulage and Trunking operations, delivering to distribution centres and stores with a focus on safety and customer service.

We offer permanent, full-time roles with various shifts including early mornings and evenings, 5 days from 7, with optional weekend work depending on demand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (New Pass Drivers considered).
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.
• CPC and Tachograph cards required.
• Understand Driver's hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to perform vehicle checks and report defects.
• Comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores
• Collections from Stores to load out to Distribution Centres
• Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages
• Trunking Opportunities available depending on availability
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.
