Job summary

Apex Resources Ltd is recruiting Class 1 Drivers to support one of the UK's leading distribution groups specialising in logistics and warehousing. This permanent, full-time role covers General Haulage and trunking with various shifts, including early mornings and evenings.

Ideal candidates hold a C+E licence with CPC & tachograph cards and a solid safety record, with good customer service and dependable delivery standards.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E licence with CPC & Tachograph cards.
• Ideally 6 months HGV Class 1 experience; New Pass drivers considered.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.
• Knowledge of Driver hours, WTD legislation.
• Strong communication and safety-conscious mindset.

Responsibilities

• General Haulage with Curtainside trailers to Distribution Centres and Stores.
• Collections from Stores to load out to Distribution Centres.
• Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load/unload cages.
• Trunking opportunities available depending on availability.
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation.
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism.
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.
