Job summary

Pure Staff's Driving Team is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to support a major palletised freight distribution operation based in Newport and Barry. Immediate starts available for reliable drivers seeking flexible, ongoing work.

Drivers will run trunking distances using curtainside and double-decker trailers, with day shifts starting around 05:00 and night shifts around 19:30. Typical shifts run about 10 hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (12 months preferred).
• UK Category C+E Licence and valid CPC card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude.

Responsibilities

• Complete trunking runs using curtainside and double-Decker trailers between depots.
• Adhere to driver hours and tachograph regulations.
• Maintain vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Work Monday to Sunday with day or night shifts.
• Ensure compliance with Working Time Regulations.
