Job summary

LME Recruitment Limited, partnering with a leading logistics firm in Felixstowe, is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for day shifts only. This role offers consistent daytime hours with no nights out and involves local collection and delivery of vehicles and trailers.

You will shunt in the yard using a tug, keep the yard and vehicles clean, and communicate professionally with customers. Basic vehicle checks and defect reporting are required.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver HGV Class 1 vehicles and trailers locally (no nights out).
• Shunt vehicles and trailers in the yard using a tug.
• Keep the yard clean, tidy and safe at all times; assist with valeting and maintaining cleanliness of trucks/trailers.
• Liaise with customers in a professional and friendly manner.

LME Recruitment Limited is partnering with a leading logistics company in Felixstowe to find a professional and reliable driver to join their team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collecting and delivering HGV Class 1 vehicles and trailers locally (no nights out)
• Shunting vehicles and trailers in the yard using a tug
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy, and safe at all times Valeting and maintaining the cleanliness of trucks and trailers

About You

Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Previous experience in a similar role preferred Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Good communication skills and a positive attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a small tea
