Job summary

Workchain is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to support a healthcare laundry operation in Sheffield. This temporary, day-shift role focuses on safe, timely deliveries and collections.

Responsibilities include scheduled collections and deliveries, loading/unloading, vehicle checks, and accurate paperwork. A valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E), Driver CPC and tachograph card are required, with good knowledge of UK roads.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E)
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid digital tachograph card
• Experience driving commercially in the UK
• Good knowledge of UK roads and safe driving practices
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage scheduled routes
• Physically able to load/unload goods

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled collections and deliveries safely and efficiently
• Load, secure and unload linen and related goods
• Complete vehicle checks and report defects
• Follow delivery schedules and site procedures
• Complete paperwork and delivery records accurately
• Provide professional service at collection/delivery points
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation
