Job summary

Streamline Recruitment are recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a client based in South Ockendon, with day and night positions available. The role follows a regular Monday-to-Friday pattern on an established daily route, with 48 hours guaranteed per week.

Starting from South Ockendon, you will transport box trailers between sites and perform shunting duties at customer premises. A safety-conscious, reliable driver with a valid CPC and tachograph is required.

Qualifications

• A valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E) and Driver CPC.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach.
• Willingness to perform shunting duties as routine.
• Good communication and positive team attitude.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled collections and deliveries on established daily routes.
• Operate Class 1 vehicles with box trailers along daily routes.
• Shunt vehicles at customer premises as required.
• Perform trailer drop-and-swap operations and ensure safe coupling.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain tachograph records and other transport paperwork.
• Follow drivers' hours and HT health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with transport team and customers.
• Support the small team with additional duties when needed.
