Job summary

People Solutions is recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver for a client in Middleton, Manchester on a full-time, ongoing basis. This role suits applicants with LGV Class 1 experience and offers a professional working environment.

Expect competitive hourly rates, regular weekly pay, and consistent, ongoing work with on-site parking and canteen facilities. Training and induction are provided on site to support a smooth start and ongoing performance.

Qualifications

• UK Category CE driving licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card required
• Minimum 2 years CE driving experience
• No more than six penalty points
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate Category CE vehicles
• Deliver products to store locations with 1–2 drops per shift and trailer swap at day end
• Ensure loads are secured before departure
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Report vehicle defects promptly
• Complete deliveries timely and professionally
• Communicate delays or issues to transport office
• Comply with Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive
• Complete all required paperwork and electronic records
