Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (CE) drivers for temporary/ongoing trunking work across national routes. You will transport mail between depots with planned, hands-free routes, morning, evening and weekend shifts available.

Key requirements include a valid HGV Class 1/CE licence held for at least 2 years, a valid CPC, a Digital Tachograph card, and up to 6 points on your licence. DBS vetting will be required. Competitive hourly pay and weekly payroll are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1/CE licence held for 2 years or more.
• In-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card required.
• 180 days of Class 1 driving in the last 2 years.
• Licence with up to 6 points and ability to pass vetting/DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Trunking between Royal Mail depots and transport between national sites.
• No handballing - organised, planned routes and punctual deliveries.
• Complete vehicle checks and uphold top-tier safety standards.
• Follow scheduled routes with precision and professionalism.
• Represent Royal Mail with courtesy on every run.
