Job summary

Driver Hire Teesside are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver for ongoing work based in Sedgefield. This role involves collections from hospitals and healthcare sites, transporting medical waste in a safe, professional and compliant manner.

You will work a regular 4 on 4 off shift pattern, starting at 06:00 or 07:00, with a pay rate of £16.00 per hour and weekly pay. The position offers temp-to-perm opportunities for the right candidate and ongoing support from Driver Hire Teesside.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 / Category C+E licence.
• Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• ADR beneficial, but not essential.
• Reliable and professional attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Comfortable working around healthcare / clinical environments.
• Safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Collecting medical waste from hospitals and healthcare sites.
• Working to planned routes and schedules.
• Completing daily vehicle checks.
• Ensuring paperwork is completed correctly.
• Following site rules and health & safety procedures.
• Representing the business professionally at customer sites.
