Job summary

24-7 Recruitment Services is recruiting an HGV Class 1 driver for Reading (RG2) on behalf of our client. The role runs on a peak-time contract with shifts Friday to Monday and up to 3 drops plus 1-2 collections per shift, trunking goods to client stores across the UK.

Applicants must hold a valid Class 1/C+E license, CPC and tachograph cards, a clean licence (no more than 6 points, no DD/DR/TT/IN), and have at least 6 months Class 1 experience. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 driver licence (C+E) required.
• CPC and Tachograph cards required.
• Licence must be valid with no more than 6 points (no DD/DR/TT/IN).
• At least 6 months experience driving Class 1.

Responsibilities

• Trunking goods to client stores across the UK.
• Carry out up to 3 drops and 1–2 collections per shift.
• Work out of the Reading RDC with Friday–Monday shifts.

24-7 Recruitment Services acting as an Employment Business are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 driver on behalf of our client in Reading (RG2).

We require HGV Class 1 driver to work until 19th December 2026. Working out of their RDC you will be trunking goods to a client stores throughout the UK. Your day will generally consist of up to 3 drops and 1-2 collections.

HGV Class 1 driver will require:

• Hold valid a Class 1 / C+E License
• No more than 6 points (No DD’s, DR’s, TT’s or IN’s)
• Hold valid Tacho and CPC cards
• MUST have at least 6 months experience on Class 1

HGV Class 1 driver work will involve:

• Working for one of fastest growing business in the Midlands, our client offers new modern trucks and continuity of work
• Long term ongoing position
• Friday to Monday shifts only
• Day drivers – 03:00 – 09:00 starts
• Night drivers – 13:00 – 17:00 starts
• Immediate start available
• Additional shifts might be available

HGV Class 1 driver will receive:

PAYE Dynamic rates

• Days £20.21 per hour
• Nights £22.23 per hour
• Saturday £26.93 per hour
• Sunday £29.43 per hour
• OT weekdays after 8hrs £24.53 per hour
