Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is recruiting a Class 1 Driver for a West Thurrock operation. The role involves daily multi‑drop deliveries across the M25, plus collections from major UK ports and port haulage duties, based in West Thurrock, Essex.

Ideal candidates hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card, with preferable experience in container or port haulage and good local knowledge.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Driver CPC Qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Port cards for Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous multi‑drop, container, port haulage or general haulage experience advantageous.
• Good knowledge of London, Essex, the M25 and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving using curtain-sided trailers and container skellies.
• Daily multi‑drop deliveries and collections.
• Container transport to and from major UK ports.
• Safe, compliant and efficient delivery of goods.
• Maintaining excellent customer service and delivery standards.

Class 1 Driver (HGV Class 1) - West Thurrock

Full-Time | Permanent | £37,500 per annum

A growing and well-established transport and logistics company is looking for a professional and dependable Class 1 Driver to join its expanding operation based in West Thurrock, Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Driver seeking a permanent role with a reputable employer. The successful Class 1 Driver will complete daily multi-drop deliveries across the M25 corridor, alongside collections and deliveries from major UK ports including Felixstowe, London Gateway and Southampton.
