Job summary

Culina is seeking professional HGV Class 1 drivers to join the Chilled & Fresh team in Spalding, UK. This permanent role focuses on RDC, Farms and Packhouse deliveries across the UK, with emphasis on safe driving and excellent customer service.

Shift patterns include 21:00 starts with 4-on/4-off options and weekend rotations. The role requires a current C+E licence, CPC, tachograph cards, and knowledge of driver hours/DOT rules, plus a professional approach and good communication.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid C+E Licence.
• Previous Class 1 Driving Experience is advantageous but New Pass Drivers will be considered.
• No more than 6 points, no DD/DR convictions.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & TVTC cards.
• Understand and comply with Driver's hours and WTD legislation.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report defects.
• Adhere to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Operate refrigerated articulated vehicles.
• Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres, Farms and Packhouses.
• Report delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies to Transport team at start of shift.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
• Follow company procedures, health and safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage working time in line with Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects; take responsibility for unit and trailer.
• Maintain professional behaviour, appearance and customer service.

We’re looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Culina Chilled & Fresh team in Spalding, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.

This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC, Farms and Packhouse deliveries. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. You’ll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

• Saturday-Tuesday Start time 21:00pm-23:00pm
• 4on4off- Start time 21:00pm-23:00pm
• Saturday- Start time Tuesday 23:00pm-01:00am
• 4on4off Start time 23:00pm-01:00am
• Sunday-Wednesday Start time 01:00am-02:00am
• 4on4off- Start time 01:00am-02:00am

Tramping

• Friday-Monday Start time 22:00pm-00:01pm
• 4on4off- Start time 22:00pm-00:01pm
• 4on4off 00:01pm-02:00am

Salary

From £14.72ph- £20.73ph

What you'll be doing

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Operating refrigerated articulated vehicles
• Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres, Farms and Packhouses
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.

Qualifications

• You should hold a valid C+E Licence
• Previous Class 1 Driving Experience is advantageous however we will consider New Pass Drivers
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand and able to comply with Driver's hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.
• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
