Job summary

Mainstream Fleet Services Ltd is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their agency for ongoing work near Queenborough, UK. The role involves delivering goods to stores across the southeast and unloading at sites according to client instructions.

Shifts start at 04:00, 10:00, 18:00 or 23:00, averaging 11 hours. The rota is 5 on/3 off. Weekly pay applies, with holiday accrual. Temp-to-perm opportunities may be discussed with our team.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 (C+E) licence and recent driving experience preferred.
• Digital Tachograph and CPC card validity required.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR codes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods from depot to stores in the south-east.
• Unload using MHE at each site and may load at start of shift.
• Follow client directives and maintain route schedules.

Job description

Mainstream Fleet Services are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client forHGV Class 1 Drivers to join their agency for an ongoing role based near Queenborough.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established agency with a great history who are looking for long term coverage with their client in the retail industry.

The HGV Class 1 Driver role entails (but is not limited to):

• Delivery of various goods from our client's depot to stores around the south-east.
• Unloading goods with MHE at each site following the client directives. Sometimes loading the trailer before departure at the beginning of the shift.
• Shift start times are 04:00, 10:00, 18:00 and 23:00 and they will be an average of 11 hours long.
• The standard rota is 5 on and 3 off. Our client is ideally looking for HGV Class 1 drivers on a full time basis, but we can discuss part-time hours.

A successful HGV Class 1 Driver candidate will have:

• Full Class 1 (C+E) licence with ideally of 1 years' recent experience. New passes are welcome to enquire.
• Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
• No more than 6 points and no DD or DR endorsement codes.
• A great knowledge of rules and regulations within HGV Class 1 driving.
• Good roadcraft and geographical knowledge.
• Previous HGV Class 1 Driver retail experience is preferred but not required.

The hourly rate for this position is £18.66 for days and £23.32 for nights. Bank holidays are paid at time and a half.

This will be paid on a weekly basis. Holiday allowance is accrued on top of this rate.
