Job summary

Staffline is recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver in Tilbury to undertake nationwide deliveries to major RDCs, collecting from production sites and distributing to major retailers across the UK. You will perform vehicle checks, report defects and comply with drivers hours and WTD legislation.

A valid HGV Class 1 licence, CPC and Tachograph cards, and a minimum of 6 months driving experience are required. Shift patterns are fixed: 4 on 4 off or 5 on 3 off, with guaranteed work all year round.

Job description

Site pays dynamic rates of pay:

• Weekday £18.50 per hour
• Weeknight £19.50 per hour
• Saturday £21.00 per hour
• Sunday £22.00 per hour

Consolidated rates of pay, potential hourly rate of £20.70 - £24.60 per hour.

The shift patterns available for this role are fixed shifts:

• 4 on 4off
• 5 on 3 off

Guaranteed work all year round.

Your Time at Work

As an HGV Class 1 Driver you will be responsible for Nationwide deliveries into all major RDC's, collecting most major brands across the UK at their production site and then distributing across the major retailers.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with the driver's hours and WTD legislation

Applicants should hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence, CPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
