Igloo Ltd is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a busy automotive logistics operation in Ryton on Dunsmore. This role focuses on night work delivering and collecting automotive parts to keep production lines supplied.

You will operate curtain-sided trailers, perform safety checks, handle paperwork, and maintain high standards of punctuality and professionalism. Full UK Class 1 licence, CPC, and 2 years experience required; night shifts, weekly pay, and ongoing long-term work offered.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 2 years.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points for minor offences.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Reliable with excellent time management and communication skills.
• Willing to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting automotive parts to support production lines
• Completing timed deliveries, ensuring punctuality
• Operating curtain-side trailers, including opening/closing curtains
• Completing all deliveries safely and in line with procedures
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects

The Role:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering and collecting automotive parts to support production lines
• Completing timed deliveries, ensuring excellent punctuality and reliability
• Operating curtain-side trailers, including opening and closing curtains when required
• Completing all deliveries safely and in line with company procedures
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Completing all relevant delivery paperwork accurately
• Representing the company professionally at customer sites

The Person:

• Full UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence held for a minimum of 2 years
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 points for minor driving offences
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Reliable with excellent time management skills
• Good communication skills and a professional approach to work
• Comfortable working night shifts
