Job summary

GXO Logistics in the United Kingdom is seeking fully qualified HGV Class 1 drivers to support our busy transport team in Runcorn. You will be responsible for collection and delivery of high-value consignments to Screwfix stores, maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to legal time restrictions.

Training is provided where needed. The role offers a salary up to £44,838.43 per annum plus unsocial premiums, along with 31 days of holiday and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class 1 licence with a full CPC qualification.
• Must hold Digital tachograph card.
• Must not have more than 7 points on licence.
• Strong communication skills, particularly verbal, to develop good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Experience of multi drop deliveries and working in a warehouse environment will be an advantage; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Collection and delivery of small to large high-value consignments that require special handling conditions to Screwfix stores.
• Consistently ensure customer expectations are met.
• Ensure all documentation is completed and returned accurately at the end of each shift.
• Adhere to specific time restrictions given under current legislation.
• Driving activities will generally consist of inter-site and intra-site deliveries, supplier collections around the UK.

Are you a fully qualified Driver? Are you looking to represent a rapidly growing company? Are you great at time keeping? If so, this could be the role for you.

We are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers, to join our busy and evolving transport team in Runcorn. You’ll be working for a leading logistics company and involved in ensuring that the trade counters across the country have sufficient stocks in order to supply their customer’s needs. Everything from screws to lawn mowers to the kitchen sink!

Our available starting times are as follows!

Monday – Friday

10 hour shifts starting at 15:00-17:00
