Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Screwfix site in Stafford for a permanent, full-time role. Shifts are Monday to Friday with 10 hours plus overtime opportunities.

You will help stock Screwfix trade counters nationwide and ensure customer needs are met, while complying with vehicle regulations. A valid Class 1 licence with CPC and tachograph card are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class 1 licence with a full CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card is required.
• No more than 7 points on the licence.
• Experience in multi-drop deliveries and warehouse environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collection and delivery of items to Screwfix stores across the UK.
• Meet customer expectations and ensure timely service.
• Complete and return all shift documentation accurately.
• Adhere to current legislation and time restrictions.
• Inter-site and intra-site deliveries, supplier collections.

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team at theScrewfix site in Stafford.

You’ll be joining a busy and evolving transport operation, working for one of the UK’s leading logistics providers. In this role, you’ll help to ensure Screwfix trade counters across the country are fully stocked and ready to meet customers’ needs. From screws and power tools to lawn mowers and even kitchen sinks, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the supply chain moving.

This is a full-time,permanentposition, predominantly working Monday to Friday (but flexibility for 5 days out of 7 required). You will be working 10-hour shifts.

Start Times ranging from : 00:00-02:00 01:00-03:00 , 11:00-13:00 & 12:00-14:00

We also offer over time , providing £20.80 per hour !

We’re looking to offer a salary of£44,838.43per annum plus unsocial premiums along with31 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Collection and delivery of small to large high-value consignments that require special handling conditions to Screwfix stores
• Consistently ensure customer expectations are met
• Ensure all documentation is completed and returned accurately at the end of each shift
• Adhere to specific time restrictions given under current legislation
• Driving activities will generally consist of inter-site and intra-site deliveries, supplier collections around the UK

What you need to be successful at GXO:

• Must have a valid Class 1 licence with a full CPC qualification
• Must hold Digital tachograph card
• Must not have more than 7 points on licence
• Strong communication skills, particularly verbal, to develop good working relationships with colleagues and customers
• Experience of multi drop collection and deliveries together with experience of working in a warehouse environment will be an advantage, although full training will be provided
