Job Opportunity: HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) - Night Shifts

The Recruitment Crowd is currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Peterborough area. We are seeking multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) to join our team on night shifts.

Hours: Shifts are scheduled across Monday to Sunday, starting between Midnight and 5:30 am.

Pay Rate: £14.88 per hour (PAYE) for night shifts.

Location: Peterborough, PE3.

Job Type: Ongoing position with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.

The Role:

• Safely handle and convey palletised packages to sub depots.
• Maintain safe driving practices and ensure accurate documentation.
• Typically complete 3 to 4 runs per shift.
• Assist with loading and unloading using tail lifts and pump trucks.
• Engage professionally with customers, representing the company positively.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving license with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Valid and current DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on your license (minor offences only).
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Willingness to undertake a short driving assessment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
