Job Description:

We are seeking two HGV Class 1 Drivers at our Peterborough depot to support customer demand.

Shift Available:

HGV Class 1 Driver: 4 on 4 off Nights (Start times between 14:00 and 19:00)

Rate of pay:

£15.36 per hour, plus weekly shift allowances of £40.00 and £55.00 for night shifts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times, completing daily checks and reporting defects.
• Load and secure goods correctly before moving the vehicle.
• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely and lawful manner, including compliance with drivers working time regulations.
• Verify deliveries with customers, provide courteous service, and obtain signatures and paperwork before returning to the depot.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid C+E driving licence, DigiTacho, and CPC.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 18kg.
• Clear communication skills in English.
