Job summary

R&V Group Ltd is seeking reliable Class 1 drivers for trunking work in the UK. You will deliver company and third-party products, complete paperwork accurately, and adhere to health and safety standards. The role includes managing drive times, tachograph compliance, and conducting vehicle checks.

We offer ongoing work with weekly pay, and potential for permanent placement after a 12-week period. Flexible start times and a supportive on‑call team are provided to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good level of English.
• Flexible starting times.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries of Company and Third Party products to specified locations per schedule.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene rules and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of transport department operations.
• Manage own working time per Road Transport Directive.
• Observe tachograph rules at all times.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report issues.

Job Description:

• Double decker. Trunking work.
• Deliver Company and Third Party products to specified locations and in accordance with the delivery schedule.
• Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork.
• Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department.
• Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive.
• Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure.
• Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery.
• Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business.
• Any other duties as reasonably required.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Class 1 driving
• National Insurance Number
• Right to work in the UK
• Full UK driving licence
• Good level of English
• Flexibility in starting times
