Job summary

Fox Resourcing and Recruitment Ltd is seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a general haulage operation in Cannock. You will deliver and collect loads across the UK in safe, professional manner, with modern, well-maintained vehicles and weekly pay.

Ideal candidates hold a Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, with prior HGV1 experience and solid knowledge of driving hours regulations. Overtime opportunities and permanent roles may be available for the right fit.

Qualifications

• Hold a Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Have a valid Driver CPC (Driver CP).
• Hold a Digital Tachograph Card.
• Have previous HGV Class 1 experience in general haulage.
• Understand drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Safety-conscious with a good attitude to work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete general haulage deliveries and collections across the UK.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after shifts.
• Ensure loads are secured correctly.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery.
• Communicate professionally with customers and transport planners.
• Adhere to drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
• Work with Curtainsider trailers and Double Deckers.

We are currently looking for experienced and reliable Class 1 (HGV C+E) Drivers to join our growing general haulage operation in Cannock.This is a great opportunity for professional drivers looking for regular work, competitive rates and a well‑organised working environment.

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of general haulage loads to customers and sites across the UK.

Duties will include:

• Driving Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in a safe and professional manner
• Completing general haulage deliveries and collections
• Carrying out vehicle safety checks before and after shifts
• Ensuring loads are secured correctly
• Completing delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery
• Communicating professionally with customers and transport planners
• Adhering to all drivers' hours, tachograph and road safety regulations
• Maintaining a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and presentation
• Working with Curtainsider trailers, Double Deckers.

About You

We are looking for drivers who are:

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Have a valid Driver CP
• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Have previous HGV Class 1 experience, ideally within general haulage
