Job summary

TRCGroup in Dartford is seeking an on-site driver for depot-to-hub work with flexible shifts across Monday to Sunday. You will handle trailer movements, loading, unloading and occasional tail-lift operations, delivering crates to hubs and returning to the depot.

Role requires a full UK licence (Class 1), 6+ months driving experience, and valid DCPC/tachograph cards. You must be flexible with start times and comply with WTD rules while maintaining strong safety and communication standards.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
• At least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence; minor offences only.
• Flexibility to work shifts Mon-Sun starting 12:00–21:00.
• Travel to local site for tacho card download required.
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication and a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute depot pull, filling the back of a trailer and transferring to a hub.
• Engage in customer work: take vehicle to customer to collect a trailer, deliver to hub, return to depot.
• Assist with loading/unloading at customer sites and in the depot.
• Perform drop and swap operations, sometimes with a tail lift; occasional uncoupling.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
• Travel to local sites for a one-off tacho card download before being put forward.
• Attend on-site induction for the first shift.

Shifts

Shifts run across Monday to Sunday (full time or part time available or ad-hoc).

Hours

Start times any time between 12:00pm to 21:00pm (Flexibility for shift times required).

Pay Rate

• Midweek - £19.71 per hour rising to £20.71 after 12 weeks.
• Midweek overtime (after 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour rising to £27.25 after 12 weeks.
• Saturday - £23.52 per hour rising to £24.52 after 12 weeks.
• Saturday overtime (after 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour rising to £27.25 after 12 weeks.
• Sunday - £26.25 per hour rising to £27.25 after 12 weeks.
• Bank Holidays - £34.42 per hour rising to £35.42 after 12 weeks.

The role

• Less than 12 infringement points in any one month and no infringement points for three consecutive months.
• Flexibility to work shifts across Monday to Sunday with start times from 12 pm - 9 pm (all paid at night rate).
• Ability to travel to local site for tacho card download prior to being put forward.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
