Job summary

XPO Logistics in Clitheroe is hiring Class 1 drivers for a Monday to Friday shift. Join a modern fleet with opportunities to learn new skills and access a range of perks. The role offers a fixed early start, 0400–0600, and 2 nights out weekly (not guaranteed).

You will drive HGV Class 1 vehicles, perform curtain-sided deliveries, and use Epod tracking for loads. Requirements include a valid LGV C+E licence, up-to-date CPC and DIGI card, and a clean licence with no DD/DR/IN endorsements.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV C+E Licence.
• Up-to-date CPC and DIGI card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• No DD, DR or IN endorsements on licence.
• 12 months experience driving Class 1 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive HGV Class 1 vehicles in a courteous manner.
• Undertake curtain-sided trailer deliveries on behalf of XPO.
• Start times from 0400, Monday to Friday.
• Some manual work may be required.
• Loads loaded/unloaded by site/customers.
• Deliveries tracked and signed for using Epod technology.

We are offering salary of £15.89 per hour based on a 45 hour working week. Over time is paid at an enhanced rate. Working Hours

• Fixed start time between 0400 - 0600
• Monday - Friday
• 2 nights out a week - Possibility of 2 nights out not guaranteed

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• You will be safely driving our HGV Class 1 Vehicles in a courteous manner
• Undertake curtain sided trailer deliveries on behalf of the XPO
• Start times from 0400
• Some manual work may be required
• All loads will be loaded/unloaded by the operating site/customers.
• All deliveries will be tracked and signed for using Epod technology
