Job summary

XPO Logistics in Uddingston is hiring a full-time Class 1 HGV Driver. You will undertake single or multi-drop deliveries, typically Mon–Fri 05:00–16:00, with up to 2 nights out per week, and ensure the safe and legal operation of your vehicle.

The role offers a minimum of 50 hours per week, paid at £16.71 per hour, plus 22 days holiday, holiday pay, discounts, cycle-to-work, a workplace pension and CPC training updates.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with CE entitlement.
• No more than six points on licence.
• Good knowledge of UK roads nationally.
• Ability to perform manual offloading and maintain fitness.
• Willingness to do Night Out up to 2 nights per week.
• Desirable HIAB experience; training provided.
• Construction industry experience preferable; training provided.

Are you a Class 1 Driver looking for the security of guaranteed full-time hours and a permanent contract? Do you want to work for one of the most forward‑thinking and fast‑growing logistics companies in the UK? How about working Monday to Friday with weekends off? We’re looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Class 1 HGV Driver happy to undertake the odd N/O to join us at our site in Uddingston. You’ll be guaranteed a minimum of 50 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, typically 05:00 to 16:00, odd 6th shift may be available.

Pay, benefits and more. We’re looking to offer the competitive hourly rate of £16.71 per hour. You will also receive 22 days holiday per year. What You Need To Succeed At XPO

• Full UK driving licence (with CE entitlement)
• No more than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)
• Great knowledge of the UK roads nationally
• Element of manual offloading of product on occasion, so a level of physical fitness is required to achieve this.
• Flexibility to N/O - Typically up to 2 nights per week.
• Adaptability to drive Class 2 vehicles on occasion desirable.
• HIAB experience preferable but not essential as training available
• Construction industry experience preferable but again not essential - Full load restraining and product offloading training given - Hands on requirement
