Job summary

Expect Distribution Limited is hiring a HGV Class 1 Driver in Bradford (BD4 6SE) to safely transport goods across designated routes. The role follows a 4on 4off pattern with varied hours, day and night shifts, and monthly pay.

A permanent contract is offered with opportunities for training and development. The ideal candidate will hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E) with a digital tachograph card, strong knowledge of road safety and transport regulations, and the ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV vehicles (Class 1).
• Deliver and collect goods according to planned routes and schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Ensure loads are secure and transported safely.
• Complete delivery paperwork and digital records accurately.
• Comply with EU/UK drivers’ hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive rules.
• Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle.
• Communicate effectively with transport planners, customers, and depot staff.

Position Overview:

We are hiring a HGV Class 1 Driver who will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods to designated locations. The role requires compliance with road traffic laws, company procedures, and health & safety regulations, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service.

Shift Pattern: 4on 4off // varied hours // day shift // nights out included
Salary: £39,099.71 // Night out allowance of £26.20 per night // Early start allowance of £40.00 if starting before 4am // monthly pay

Key Responsibilities:

• Subsequently working in a responsible manner that complies with and increases product safety and quality
• Safely operate HGV vehicles (Class 1)

• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Good geographical knowledge or ability to use navigation systems
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks where required
