Job summary

Expect Distribution Limited in Leeds is hiring a Class 2 HGV driver to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations. The role requires adherence to road traffic laws, company procedures and health and safety standards, with a focus on professional customer service.

Working pattern is Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays. Salary is £13.95 per hour, paid monthly, on a permanent contract, based at LS15 8AF in Leeds.

Qualifications

HGV Class 2 licence is essential.
Driver CPC qualification required.
Digital tachograph card must be held.

Responsibilities

Safely operate HGV vehicles (Class 2) and perform multi‑drop deliveries.
Carry out tail lift operations and ensure loads are secure.
Deliver and collect goods according to planned routes and schedules.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
Maintain clean, roadworthy vehicle and accurate delivery paperwork.

Position Overview

We are hiring a Class 2 Driver, who will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods to designated locations. The role requires compliance with road traffic laws, company procedures, and health & safety regulations, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service.

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday (occasional Saturday's)

Salary: £13.95 per hour (paid monthly)

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate HGV vehicles (Class 2 as applicable)
Multi-drop deliveries required, with tail lift operation included as part of the role
Subsequently working in a responsible manner that complies with and increases product safety and quality
Deliver and collect goods according to planned routes and schedules
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
Ensure loads are secure and transported safely
Complete delivery paperwork and digital records accurately
Comply with EU/UK drivers’ hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive rules
Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
Communicate effectively with transport planners, customers, and depot staff.
Comply with BRCGS (food and drink) guidelines following training
