Job summary

Smart Solutions is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for Barnsley. Ad hoc and part-time shifts available with immediate start. A £250 welcome bonus is offered after completing 16 shifts, with pay rates that vary by shift.

Shifts cover weekdays, weekends and various start times from early morning to late evening. Valid HGV licence, CPC card and tachograph qualification are required, with a reliable and flexible approach to work.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV licence (class 1 or 2) and CPC card.
• Must have a good understanding of driver hours and tachograph rules.
• Experience in ad hoc or agency driving work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivering goods safely and efficiently.
• Completing vehicle checks and required paperwork.
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and tachograph regulations.
• Maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Supporting depot operations when required.

HGV Class 1 Driver – Barnsley

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for our client in Barnsley / Darton.

This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for flexible work, with shifts available throughout the week including weekends.

Pay Rates

• Monday to Friday (4:00am – 1:00pm): £17.25 per hour
• Monday to Friday (before 4:00am & after 1:00pm): £19.25 per hour
• Saturday: £20.25 per hour
• Sunday: £23.25 per hour

Shift Patterns

• Adhoc agency work
• Shifts available Monday to Sunday
• Start times ranging from 03:00am to 10:30pm
• Flexible working patterns available

Duties Include

• Delivering goods safely and efficiently
• Completing vehicle checks and required paperwork
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and tachograph regulations
• Maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Supporting depot operations when required

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 Licence
