The main function of this role is to deliver bakery products to our customers across Northern Ireland. Hours of work are 42 per week based on a rotating shift pattern across a 7-day week, including lates/night shifts, and flexibility will be required. This is a physically demanding role and requires the individual to load and unload the vehicle safely, securely, and efficiently at both Allied Bakeries and customer premises while observing company policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

• To comply with all legal requirements for HGV Drivers.
• To always drive company vehicles to high standards of safety and courtesy, including compliance with the Highway Code and any company standards.
• To apply SAFED driving techniques to maximize safety and fuel efficiency.
• To comply with all company delivery and collection procedures, e.g., picking from bulk order load, order adjustment, health and safety.
• To comply with company standards for customer service.
• To report immediately to the Front Line Manager any variations to required standards of product quality and service levels.
• To follow company standards and procedures for working with, and accounting for, company products and equipment, e.g., bread baskets, pallets, store returns, and buffer stock.
• To comply with all company requirements for driver training and communication.
• To carry out any duties as required by the company, e.g., unloading, refuelling, and washing vehicles, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The Right Person

• C+E driving licence is essential.
• One year's driving experience of class C+E vehicles is essential.
• The ability to work shifts, including weekends.
