Overview of role

Company: Allied Bakeries

Location: Dungannon

Closing Date: 30th May 2025

The main function of this role is to deliver bakery products to our customers. You will be responsible for in-store merchandising, ordering, and minimizing waste. Hours of work will be based on a rotating shift pattern across a 7-day week with start times to be confirmed (flexibility will be required). This is a physically demanding role and requires the individual to have the physical ability to perform the tasks.

Key Accountabilities

• Engage in the Safety-First culture and comply with AB internal policies and procedures.
• Perform daily vehicle checks.
• Maintain tachograph records, comply with company key control procedures, and adhere to working time regulations.
• Maximize sales and contribute to sales growth of the company's brands.
• Develop close working relations with key decision makers within stores.
• Check load against the interim load summary and amend for variances.
• Ensure all products are correctly charged to customers and record returns.
• Deliver products on time and in full within the scheduled windows.
• Collect all baskets daily.
• Return any collected returns to the bakery for disposal daily.
• Participate in sharing Best Practice within the Sales Team.

The Right Person

• Experienced Professional Driver Category 2 (Category C).
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC).
• Effective communication and influencing skills.
• Flexibility and cooperation to meet business needs.
• Experience in delivery or sales environment.
• A digital driver card is desirable.
• Merchandising experience is desirable.
• Experience as a Professional Driver Category 1 (Category C + E) is desirable.
