Job summary

Freeway Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (HGV C+E) Drivers to work on client contracts across South Manchester and Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and flexible drivers seeking regular Monday to Friday work with immediate starts available.

You will work across various contracts, including pallet network deliveries, bulk haulage, trailer swaps, and delivery/collection work, with thorough vehicle checks and a strong emphasis on safety and customer

Qualifications

• Full and valid Class 1 (C+E) licence is required.
• C+E entitlement for 6+ months is preferred.
• At least 6 months experience operating a Class 1 vehicle.
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DR/DD/IN/CD endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of contracts across South Manchester and Cheshire.
• Perform pallet network deliveries, bulk haulage, and trailer swaps.
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure paperwork is accurate.
• Maintain high standards of safety and customer service.

Skills

Class 1 (C+E) licence

The Role

• Pallet network deliveries and collections
• Bulk haulage
• Trailer swaps
• Delivery and collection work
• Operating curtain-sided, box and flatbed trailers
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly
• Maintaining high standards of safety and customer service

This is a job-and-finish role, with a minimum of 10 hours paid per shift.

Pay & Benefits

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A full and valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• C+E entitlement held for at least 6 months to 1 year
• At least 6 months experience operating a Class 1 vehicle
• Valid CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points
• No DR, DD, IN or CD endorsements
• A flexible approach, with the ability to work across different contracts when required
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude
